HOW TO PLAY:
In one variation, players aim to form as many pairs of Lamplighter sets as possible while completing challenges to Build Bitachon—Trust in Hashem. But watch out—you don’t want to get stuck with the Victim Card!
There are two ways to form sets:
- Pick a card from the next player. At the start. players remove any pairs of lamplighter sets from their hand and place them face up in front of them. The first player offers their cards face down to the player on their left. The player on the left then offers their hand face down to the player on their left, and so on. If a player makes a pair, they place it face down on the table.
- Go Again - Build Bitachon: A player with a Go Again - Build Bitachon Card draws a Build Bitachon Brick Card from the center pile. Player reads the challenge on the Build Bitachon card and looks for a lamplighter card in hand which can help solve the challenge.
For example: Build Bitachon Brick card: "Someone is struggling, and I’m unsure what to do." The player connects the challenge to a Lamplighter Card, like “A little light dispels a lot of darkness,” explaining that even a small act of kindness can brighten someone's dark times. The matching Lamplighter Card is then handed over.
Game Ends: Players continue until all lamplighter cards have been used and one person is left with the victim card. Player with the most sets is the winner!
